    PARTS DIAGRAM OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME  Don’t worry if the iron smokes a bit at first, it’ll stop as the element cures.  Iron an old piece of cotton fabric, to clean the soleplate.  Press the button 3 or 4 times, to check it out.
  • Page 6 ANTI-DRIP FUNCTION The anti-drip function uses a separate thermostat, to shut off the flow of water if the temperature is not high enough to produce steam. This means that in addition to the click of the normal thermostat, which coincides with the thermostat light going on and off, you’ll hear the anti-drip thermostat clicking, but you won’t see anything happening.
  • Page 7  Turn the temperature control to bring the setting you want next to the mark (#3).  The thermostat light will come on.  When the iron reaches the temperature you set, the thermostat light will go off. It’ll then cycle on and off as the thermostat operates to maintain the temperature. If the instructions on the fabric label differ from this guide, follow the instructions on the label.

    Self clean  To prevent scale building up, use the self clean function regularly, at least monthly in normal water areas, more often in hard water areas.  You’ll need a basin or a large bowl to catch the water coming out of the soleplate.

     Always remember to unplug the unit from the electrical outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Ensure that the speed control is set to “0”.  It is much easier to clean the accessories directly after they have been used. Wash them in warm, soapy water, rinse and dry well.

    If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorised service agent, in order to avoid any hazard. If service becomes necessary within the warranty period, the appliance should be returned to an approved Tedelex Trading (Pty) Limited service centre.
