i) Using the sense function

The sense function is an automatic voltage control for the connection sockets (9, 10). For this,
two separate measuring cables are connected parallel to the connecting cables. The voltage
drop which occurs on the connection cables is measured on these two measuring cables. The
laboratory power supply automatically compensates for this voltage drop so that the set voltage
is supplied to the consumer.
1. Switch the laboratory power supply and any connected consumers off.
2. Always connect the supply cables to the output on the laboratory power supply (9, 10) to the
consumer first. Ensure that you insert them with the correct polarity.
3. Press the clamp release on the rear RS+ and RS- (18) connection sockets inwards with
a small screwdriver and insert the cables into the terminal openings. Check that they are
firmly seated.
4. Now, connect the two sense cables to the consumer, observing the correct polarity. The
conductor cross-section for the sense cables must be at least 0.34 mm
5. Always undo the connections in reverse order (sense cables followed by connection cables).
