The control handle assembly has the following controls:
(1) Traction Reverse button
(2) Horn button
(3) Direction and speed control
(4) Slow speed button (Optional)
(5) Proportional Lower button
(6) Proportional Lift button
(7) Lift button. (Optional Sideshift - Right)
(8) Lower button (Optional Sideshift - Left)
(9) Shift button
(10) Tilt down (With Shift button - Auxiliary 2)
(11) Tilt up. (With Shift button - Auxiliary 2)
Operation of these controls is described in the following paragraphs.
The speed/direction control is for selecting forward or reverse movement and the
travel speed of the lift truck. The control has a spring which will return it to the OFF
position. The control can be operated by either hand. The operator controls the
speed and direction of travel by rotating the control in the desired direction. Maxi-
mum rotation of the control causes maximum travel speed. To stop or change direc-
tion, the operator rotates the control in the opposite direction. The lift truck will come
to a stop. If the speed/direction control is not returned to the OFF position when the
lift truck stops, it will accelerate in the opposite direction. Changing direction with the
speed/direction control is called plugging. Arrows on the control indicate the direc-
tion of travel.
