Connecting the drainage hose

32
Before plumbing the appliance in, ensure that it is
disconnected from the mains electricity supply.
^ Switch off at the mains.
^ Connect the stainless steel hose to the stopcock.
Ensure that it is screwed into position correctly.
The connection points are subject to mains water
pressure. Turn on the stopcock slowly and check for
leaks. Correct the position of the seal and union if
appropriate.
The drain hose can be connected to:
- An on-wall or in-wall odour trap with a fixed hose connection
or
- The appliance connection for the odour trap.
To ensure that the waste water is pumped away completely,
the mains drainage outlet point should not be positioned
higher than the drain hose outlet position on the appliance.
The temperature of the water being drained is approx. 70 °C.
Important:
The top end of the drain hose must not be higher than
500 mm where it connects to the odour trap.
The drain hose supplied must not be shortened.
If necessary, a 7.5 m long hose is available as an optional
accessory from the Miele Spare Parts Department.
We recommend using only original hoses from the
manufacturer.
The total hose length must not exceed 7.5 m.
^ Connect the drain hose to the odour trap using the hose
connector (C 21 mm).
^ Secure the hose using a hose clip.
