The system can be controlled via a commercial DMX controller. The hoist is equipped with 8 DMX channels. The
device provides 3-pin XLR connectors for the DMX connection.
DMX Controller
1 Safely attach the light effects to a truss as previously described.
2 Make all data connections while the hoists are switched off. Connect the output of your DMX controller with the
input of the first hoist. Then connect the DMX output DMX OUT with the DMX input of the next unit in the chain.
Always connect one output with the input of the next unit until all units are connected.
3 At the last unit, the DMX cable has to be terminated. Plug the terminator with a 120 Ω resistor between signal
(–) und signal (+) in the DMX output of the last unit.
4 If the cable length exceeds 300 m or the number of DMX devices is greater than 32, it is recommended to
insert a DMX level amplifier to ensure proper data transmission.
5 Finally, connect the hoists to the mains to start operation.
