The overhead light may only be installed when it is disconnected from the power
supply.

Isolate all poles of the mains cable from the mains supply by removing the electric
circuit fuse or switching off the circuit breaker. Then turn off the earth leakage circuit
breaker.
• Remove the round light cover (1) by turning it counter-clockwise slightly to the left and then
detaching it from the mounting plate (2) (see fig. 4).
• If dowels (3) are needed to fasten the mounting plate to the ceiling of the room (depending
on the ceiling structure), mark the exact position of the drill holes through the holes in the
mounting plate (see fig. 5).
• If necessary, drill minimum 30 mm deep using a suitable 6 mm drill bit and insert dowels flush
with the ceiling.
• Remove the outer insulation on the mains cable to a maximum length of about 16 mm.
Remove insulation of the three supply cables for a length of about 6 mm. The cable of the
protective conductor (yellow green cable) should be minimum 6 mm longer, so that it stays as
the last cable in the terminal strip in case of fault.
• Lead the mains supply line through the corresponding cable bushing (4) in the mounting
plate and fasten the mounting plate with a suitable screw (5) (and dowels if appropriate) to
the ceiling (see fig. 6, 7).
• Connect the mains supply line using the 3-pole terminal strip (6) in the mounting plate (brown
cable = L/phase, blue cable = N/neutral, yellow/green cable = PE/earth wire/earthing symbol)
(see fig. 8).
Make sure only the minimum required part of the cable is stripped; otherwise a short
circuit may occur!
Also check other screw fastenings of the 3-pole terminal strip and tighten them if
necessary!
• Screw in a lamp into each of the two sockets E27 (7). Optionally, normal incandescent lamps
(max. 40 W), energy-saving lamps (max. 13 W) or LED lights (max. 10 W) may be inserted
(see fig. 9).
Wrap lamps in a paper tissue or the like while handling so that no oil residue from the
skin is left on the glass of the lamp. Otherwise, the lamp may fail prematurely!
Do not combine different lamp types. Always use two identical lamps!
• Re-establish the power supply and make sure the ceiling light is functioning (see fig. 12).
