INSTALLATION
1) Transport the vat with caution, avoiding shocks or tilting.
2) Install the vat on level ground which is either preferably horizontal or has an incline of less than 3% if perpendicular
to the direction of rotation, in order to ensure vat stability and an efficient operation of the vat rotation system.
3) The vat must be completely empty before lifting moving or transporting it.
4) Once the vat is in its final position and checked, you may remove packaging and transport protections.
5) Should the vat be moved protections should be replaced in order to preserve the exposed parts of the tank from
eventual hits or scrapes.
6) For minor displacements or movements of the empty tank inside the cellar, a manual 2.5 t Fork Lift could be used.
7) The supports have been designed to be compatible with the maximum possible number of forklifts and pallet trucks

COMMISSIONING PREPARATION

Procedures such as punching and stirring should be carried out with extreme caution and with nonmetal specialized tools
in order to avoid damaging the inner surface of the vat.
1. Perform a water tightness test on the vat upon delivery, even though it has already been tested in the production
workshop prior to shipment.
2. Fully clean the interior and exterior of the vat with cold water in order to remove any dust or residues resulting from
transportation.
3. The internal raw concrete surface of the vat
a. spray the vat with a 20% (200g/L) tartaric acid solution,
b. allow it to dry for 24H,
c. repeat the procedure twice more
We remind you that protective equipment should be used when applying tartaric acid.
Once the operations of commissioning, installation, cleaning and treatment have been completed, the vat is ready for use.
However, the internal surfaces of uncoated vats must be periodically neutralized and maintained in the same way as all raw
concrete vats.
