Scope of delivery

The scope of delivery of a MS2E synchronous
servomotor contains:
•
Motor in original package
•
Additional type plate
•
Safety notes and instructions on use
•
Operating instructions
•
Protective coverings for output shaft and
connection points
•
Accompanying papers
On delivery, immediately verify whether the deliv-
ered goods are those specified on the delivery
note. The forwarder must be promptly informed
of any damage on the packaging and goods,
which is detected on delivery. Start-up of dam-
aged goods is prohibited.

Explosion protection

4.1

Product description

Synchronous servomotors of type MS2E03, -04,
-05, -06, -07, -10 are used to operate with drive
systems. These motors are certified according to
ATEX for gas and dust and can be used in zone
2 and 22, Device group II, Category 3. These
motors are fitted with three temperature sensors
within the winding and an appropriate switch-off
electronics to keep the temperature class.
The ignition protection type for gases, vapors
is according to the protection principle
"Increased safety" Ex ec.
The ignition protection type for dust
is according to the protection principle
"Protection by housing" Ex tc.
The housing design is made of aluminum / alu-
minum die casting. Cooling is done via heat
exchange of the open coolant circuit by tempera-
ture difference between housing and surrounding
coolant (self-cooling).
The motors can be fitted with an additional
holding brake and with a Multiturn or Singleturn
encoder.

The electrical connection is done by means
of SpeedCon plug-in connectors in single-cable
technique. The permissible ambient temperatur
range is: 0°C ... 40 °C
