7.1. Switching on and off

Please make sure that the plates (5) are unsoiled. If necessary, clean them as described in
the 'Cleaning' section.
Insert the plug into an easily accessible power socket.
Switch the ON/OFF switch (2) to the 'ON' position. The indicator light (1) will glow red to indicate that
the hair straightener is in use.
After approximately one minute, the hair straightener will have heated up to a temperature of over
120°. You can begin styling your hair once the device has reached this temperature. Depending on
your hair type, you may want to wait a bit longer – until the hair straightener has reached its maximum
temperature – before beginning to style your hair.
Once you have finished styling your hair, switch the ON/OFF switch (2) to the 'OFF' position. The
indicator light (1) will turn off.
Remove the plug from the power socket and allow the hair straightener to fully cool off.

7.2. Straightening hair/Styling hair

WARNING! Risk of injury! The plates (5) become very hot when in use. Never touch
your scalp with the plates (5), and only hold the hair straightener by the handle when using
it.
As you straightening or style your hair, steam might come out of the steam outlets (6).
Residual moisture from your hair escapes through these steam outlets (6). This protects your
hair while you straighten or style it.

7.2.1. Straightening hair

Prep your hair as described in the 'Prepping hair' section.
Start with the lower sections of hair at the back of your head, then work towards the front from the
sides.
Pick up approximately 2 cm-wide sections of hair with two fingers from your free hand.
Clamp the sections of hair between the plates (5), starting from the roots.
Now start to quickly glide the straightener down from your roots to the ends of your hair until no more
hair is clamped between the plates.
Please note: If you allow the hair straightener to rest over a section of hair for too long, the hair may
become damaged.
Use the hair straightener in the same way on each section of hair.
After you have straightened each section of hair, switch off the hair straightener and remove the plug
from the power socket.
