Clean the fan on a regular basis (every month or more often as
required). For optimal performance, make sure the fan is clean
at all times.
General cleaning: To remove dirt and dust, wipe down the
exterior of the appliance with a soft cloth/sponge lightly
moistened with water or warm soapy water. Dry the appliance
completely after cleaning.
DISASSEMBLING THE FRONT GUARD AND FAN BLADES FOR
CLEANING
1.
Unplug the fan and remove the safety screw from the bottom
of the front guard (1) with a screwdriver (Fig. 2).
2. Turn the front guard (1) anti-clockwise to unlock, and then pull
it out.
3. Turn the fan blade cap clockwise to remove it.
4. Pull the fan blades (3) to remove them from the motor shaft.
5. DO NOT disassemble the rear guard (7) and motor unit (9).
Only wipe the surfaces with a soft dry cloth, or a soft cloth
lightly moistened with water. Gently remove dust with a soft
dry toothbrush if necessary. Dry with a soft cloth and allow to
air dry completely.
6. After removing the front guard (1), fan blade cap, and fan
blades (3), rinse them under the tap, or clean them in warm
soapy water with a soft sponge/cloth. Dry thoroughly after
cleaning.
7.
Allow all parts to dry completely before reassembling them.
