Maintenance
Inner cylinder fi lter
Remove the inner cylinder fi lter.  (P.E-19)

Wash the inner cylinder fi lter and dust case with water.

Inner cylinder tip
Inner cylinder filter
Move the inner cylinder tip in the direction of the arrow and wash with water.
 Gently remove any attached dust and debris from the fi lters before washing them with water.
Note
 Drain the water attached to the inner cylinder fi lter thoroughly after washing.
Air dry the fi lter.

 After washing the fi lter with water, allow it to thoroughly air dry in the shade before you reassemble it.
Do not use it without drying. Doing so might clog the fi lters soon and cause weak suction power or
abnormal odor.
 Also, do not dry it with hot air such as that from a hair dryer.
Doing so might cause a performance degrade, damage, or deformation.
Attach the inner cylinder fi lter.  (P.E-19)

CAUTION
If the suction power is weak even after washing the fi lters with water, the clean fi lter, sponge fi lter, etc.

Risk of damage to the vacuum cleaner
Attach the dust case and fi lters before operation.
If any dust and debris enters the motor, the fi lter inside the vacuum cleaner might be clogged
and strange sounds might come from the vacuum cleaner.
In this case, please consult a Hitachi authorized service agent.
