Deadbanding of the analog static values cannot be set in DNP3. Event generation is
dependent on the functions employed in the IED, and the execution loops these functions
belong to. See the IED's technical manual for setting deadbands.
As a result of the event generation mechanism in the IED, the events reported by DNP3 are
very accurate and are the same events that can be retrieved over the WHMI or other
protocols such as IEC 61850-8-1.
Power must be cycled to the unit after making changes to the DNP3
parameters. The LHMI or WHMI will not notify the user that this action
must be taken. Only one session is allowed to place the unit in write (edit)
mode.

Parameter list

The DNP3 parameters can be accessed with PCM600 or via the LHMI path
Configuration/Communication/DNP3.0.
