Other Safety Instructions

Always hold the electrical tool with both hands on the corresponding surfaces
(motor casing and handle).
Hold smaller pieces to be processed in order to avoid their involuntary
displacement.
The power supply network voltage and the voltage indications on the
characteristics plate must coincide.
BEFORE USE
WARNING: Ensure the tool is disconnected from the power supplier.
UNPACKING
Take the burnisher out of the box, check for damage and that all items
are included. If there is any damage or items missing contact the place of
purchase.
AUXILIARY HANDLE
To attach the auxiliary handle, place the grip above the burnishing drum, use
a hex key on the joining screw and tighten.
GUARD
Using a hex key, loosen the bolt on he guard. Install the guard onto the tool
then tighten the bolt.
ACCESSORY INSTALLATION
There are many burnisher accessories compatible with the BSM1500 all with
different functions like polishing and sanding. The maximum wheel dimension
is 100mm width by 120mm diameter. The burnisher is not suitable for wheels
smaller than 100mm in width.
WHEEL INSTALLATION
To install a burnishing wheel:
1. Press the spindle lock and remove the drum retention screw and washer.
2. Hold the 2x keyway in place and slide the wheel onto the output shaft.
3. Replace the washer and screw until it is firm.
SANDING DRUM INSTALLATION
To install a sanding drum:
1. Press the spindle lock and remove the drum retention screw and washer.
2. Prepare the sanding drum by sliding the drum onto the Rubber expansion
wheel
3. Hold the 2x keyway in place and slide the rubber expansion wheel with the
sanding drum onto the output shaft.
4. Replace the washer and screw.
5. The sanding drum may be loose on the rubber wheel. Tightening the drum
retaining screw will expand the rubber wheel to make a firm fit.
CAUTION: Always ensure the sanding drum is secure to prevent damage to
the workpiece, tool and prevent potential injury.

Operating Instructions
START-UP
ON/OFF (FIG. 1)
• Pull the trigger switch 1 to activate the tool.
• To stop the tool release switch 1.
NOTE: The tool will take a few seconds to stop completely, do not rest the tool
until it has come to a complete stop.
Continuous mode/lock switch (Fig. 1)
• After the pulling the trigger switch 1, press the lock switch 2 for continuous
mode. The trigger can now be released and the tool will keep operating.

• To stop continuous mode, press the lock switch.
Alternatively the trigger can be pulled to return to de-activate the lock switch,
then release the trigger. (FIG. 3)
Speed Selection (Fig. 2)
• To adjust the working speed, turn speed selection wheel 6 to the required
speed to suit the operation.

TOOL CHANGE
GEAR
The head of the tool must not be removed or changed. Modifications or not
using the tool as it is intended will void the warranty. All repairs must be done
by a qualified service agent.
PROTECTION COVER ADJUSTMENT
The burnishing machine must always be used with the protection cover in
place (Fig. 3)
1. Loosen cover adjustment screw 3 (Fig. 3)
2. Adjust the protection cover in a position that is appropriate for the task to
be performed and in the corresponding work position (Fig. 3)
3. Tighten the cover adjustment screw.
