04-1. Precautions for mating
This connector features a compact and thin design. Although the connector is
designed to be easily handled, follow the rules below to avoid damage to the resin
part and buckling or deformation of the contact.
Please use extra consideration especially when there are many contacts (100 or more).
―Procedure―
(1) Roughly position the connector of the sub PC board onto the connector of the
main board.
The positioning mark described will help this tentative
(Please consider the procedure for temporary positioning rather than quick, easy
mating.)
(2) Slightly move the connector of the sub PC board in the X and Y directions to
check that the connector position is correct.
(PC boards do not slide when the mating position is correct.)
(3) Press down on both sides at the same time while holding, as best as possible, the
PC boards in parallel until mating is complete. (When there are fewer contacts,
press down on the center, keeping it parallel.)
(4) When verification is possible verify that the sub PC board and main PC board are
parallel to each other in the X/Y directions after mating.
(When mating is complete, the mating gap is hardly visible.)
