1� Press and hold the Heating/Energy-save
temperature (5 a) + Mode/Menu (5 b)
buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds�
The
icon disappears and the child safety lock is
deactivated�
Setting the Frost Protection Function/
Heating Pause
This function is automatically active�
The frost protection function prevents the room
temperature dropping below freezing point� If the
temperature drops to 0 °C, the device opens the
radiator valve until the temperature increases again
to over 5 °C�
Set a heating pause, for example, when you do not
want to use the heating during the summer months�
At the end of a heating pause, you can either
switch back to automatic mode or programme new
heating and energy-save times�
The frost protection function remains active during
a heating pause�
1� Switch to Manual mode (refer to Section Set-
ting Manual Mode on Page 49)�
2� Turn the Rotary knob (9) until
in the display�

Calcification Protection Function

This function is automatically active�
The device completes a calcification protection
function cycle every Friday at 11:00 a�m� to pre-
vent calcification of the radiator valves.
