Security

Using the Web interface, you can configure the
RADIUS Client and 802.1X settings.
The Security menu includes two items:

RADIUS Client

802.1X Settings
RADIUS Client
Remote Authentication Dial-in User Service (RADIUS)
is a logon authentication protocol that uses software
running on a central server to control access to
RADIUS-aware devices on the network. An
authentication server contains a database of multiple
user name/password pairs with associated privilege
levels for each user or group that require
management access to a switch.
The RADIUS Client menu includes two tabs:
Detail
Configure
Detail
Use the Detail tab to display the RADIUS Client
settings.

Configure
Use the Configure tab to configure the RADIUS
settings. The following parameters are available:
Max Retries – Sets the number of retries of sending
authentication requests.
Timeout – Sets the interval between sending
authentication requests.
IP Address – The IP address of the RADIUS server.
UDP port – The RADIUS server UDP port used for
authentication messages.
Key – Sets the RADIUS encryption key.
After you have filled in the parameters, click Apply to
save your changes.
