FINAL DRIVE / BRAKE SYSTEMS
14. Install the seal sleeve with the groove facing outward.
15. Clean the brake disc with brake cleaner and then
install on to jackshaft.
16. Loosely install the brake disc bolt and spring
washers. Reinstall the brake caliper. Torque caliper
mounting bolts to specification.
TORQUE
Brake Caliper Mounting Bolts:
18.4 ft-lbs (25 Nm)

17. Engage the parking brake. Torque brake disc bolt to
specification.
There are two domed washers on the brake disc bolt.
18. Fill-to-spill the chaincase with Polaris Synthetic
Chaincase Lubricant (SCL). Tighten fill plug to
specification.
19. If the snowmobile was equipped with electric starter,
reinstall the battery bracket and battery.
20. Reinstall the exhaust resonator.

CHAINCASE HOUSING REMOVAL

The chaincase housing and right bulkhead support are
one piece and bonded to the chassis. The use of a
propane torch is required to remove the housing from

rear suspension, jackshaft, and driveshaft must be
removed.
2. Remove the right fender panel.
