3.1.8
ADPCM CARD
Description of the card
This card provides the 32 Kb/s ADPCM encoding/decoding function, thereby allowing the
connection of 4-channel DECT radio base stations. Furthermore, it provides the echo
cancellation and suppression functions on 8 channels of the PCM bus, complying with
DECT standard.
Fit the ADPCM daughter card to the PCM32 type connector J2 or J3 on the EOCU card.
3.1.9
POWERING UP RADIO BASE STATIONS
Base stations are powered using a 40 V or 48 V supply voltage selected by jumpers on the
cards (OCZ, EOCU).
See section 3.3.9. A 40 V remote power supply is mandatory for the EOCT card.
For DECT radio base stations, select (preferably) 48 V supply voltage. The 40 V power
supply voltage is mandatory for the S0 interfaces providing a remote power supply voltage.
Note:
Base stations can be used in 4-channel mode with software release 11.5 or later,
with the EOCU interface card and its ADPCM daughter cards.
