Please note the following safety notes to avoid
malfunctions, damage or physical injury:
 This manual belongs to the product. It contains important notes
on operating the unit. Please pass it on along with the unit if it is
handed over to a third party!
 Do not leave packaging material lying around. Plastic bags may
become a deadly toy for children.
 Only use the unit in dry environment e.g. interiors.
 Never point the laser at persons or animals. At every
time hold the unit in that way that the laser beams are
directed to radiate away from the body. Never look
into the laser beams not even with optical instruments.
It can cause severe eye
injuries.
 Do not point the lasers at
mirrors or other reflecting
surfaces. The uncontrolled
deflected beams may hit
persons or animals.
 If it is absolutely necessary to use the unit in a reflecting envi-
ronment, please wear adequate eye protection.
 Never use a laser beam in explosion-prone environments. Do not
point at gas-filled rooms. The gas may explode.
 CAUTION! Never operate the unit with the housing open!
 The unit is a precision measuring instrument and must be han-
dled with care. Accurate results are only guaranteed if the unit is
handled with care and well maintained.
 Do not expose the unit to excessive temperatures or strong
vibrations and avoid strong mechanical stresses.
