Installation Procedure

When installing the CR-55 for the first time, be sure to install the
accompanying application software before connecting the CR-55 to the
computer.
The procedure for installing the scanner is outlined below.
1. Install Scanning Utility for CR-55.
(See "Installing the Scanning Utility," on p. 17.)
2. Connect the power cord to the scanner.
(See "Connecting the Power Cord," on p. 21.)
3. Connect the scanner to the PC.
(See "Connecting the Scanner to Your PC," on p. 22.)
4. Turn ON the scanner.
(See "Turning the Power ON," on p. 23.)
Note
Do not connect the CR-55 before installing the accompanying application
software. Connecting the CR-55 to a computer before installing the
application software will cause the Found New Hardware Wizard to appear.
If this happens, click [Cancel] to exit the wizard.
