V812+ OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Modular Jack (MJ1/MJ2)

The MJ1 and MJ2 connectors are used for serial communication (RS-232C/RS-485) with an external device. The MJ1
connector can also be used for screen data transfer.
*1 The maximum current value of "externally supplied +5 V" varies depending on the option configuration; whether it is
fully featured (communication unit + optional unit) or not. For details, refer to the separate V8 Plus Series Hardware
Specifications manual.

LAN Connector (LAN)
The LAN connector is used for Ethernet communication (100BASE-TX, 10BASE-T).
Specification: IEEE802.3(u) compliant, supporting UDP/IP and TCP/IP

USB Port (USB Ver. 1.1)

- Connecting a USB printer (EPSON's STYLUS PHOTO)
Applications
- Connecting a CF card reader/writer

DIP Switches

Setting of DIP switches is as follows. (The following figure shows the DIP switch setting upon delivery.)
Before setting the DIP switch, turn the power off.

MJ1/2 and LAN connector are 8-pin modular jacks. Check the indication on the unit and insert a
cable into the correct position.
