6.3. START-UP
6.3.1. CHECKPOINTS BEFORE COMMISSIONING
Do not use machine is if it is damaged or incorrectly
regulated.
Use this machine for the purpose for which it was
designed. Any other use may be dangerous for the
user, for the machine and for persons, animals and
things that may be around.
Check:
- The machine completely and look for loose and
damaged parts (screws, nuts, etc.).
- That there are no fuel leaks.
- The crankcase oil level.
- The air filter is clean. Clean the filter if necessary.
Tighten, repair or replace everything you need before
using the machine.
Do not use any accessory on this machine outside of
those recommended by Garland since its use could
result in serious injury to the user, machine, and the
people, animals and things close to the machine.
Before starting the machine, make sure that the
moving parts of the machine are not in contact with
any object.
6.5.2.1. STARTING THE ENGINE COLD
1. Place the machine on a flat and stable surface
to start it.
2. Set the ON / OFF switch (12) to the ON position
3. Place the fuel lever in the open position.
4. Place the air lever in the closed position
5. Put the lever (9) in transport mode,
placing it all the way back. It will be
indicated by the symbol
6. Tighten the safety lever (1)
7. Place yourself behind the mower and pull the
Starter rope until the engine starts.
8. If the machine starts and does not stop,
gradually change the air lever to the open air
position (normal working position).
9. Let the engine warm up for a few minutes before
starting to use the machine.
6.5.2.2. STARTING WITH A HOT ENGINE
1. Place the machine on a flat and stable surface
to start it.
2. Set the ON / OFF switch (12) to the ON position
3. Place the fuel lever in the open position.
4. Place the air lever in the open position
(normal working position).
5. Make sure that the lever (9) is in transport mode.
