Switching on and off Starting the heating system The initial start−up and matching of the control unit to local conditions and the structural characteristics of the building must be carried out by your local specialist. Before you switch on a heating system which has been switched off for longer periods it would be advisable to contact your local specialist.
Switching on and off System shutdown If you intend shutting down your heat pump for a certain time, e.g. during a summer holiday, set the operating mode selector to "Off" (see "Selecting operating modes" on page 7). Switch off your heat pump, if it will not be needed for longer periods of time (several months).
Heat pump/heating circuit settings General All control circuits controlled by the control unit are displayed as symbols, when the programming unit flap is closed. After key for "Programme" has been pressed, and when the programming unit flap is open, all control circuits will be called up via the alpha keys.
Heat pump/heating circuit settings Setting the current operating mode This option for setting the operating mode only affects this change of operating mode until the next change activated by the timer program. Operating modes of heat pump/heating circuit: "Normal" Heat pump and/or heating circuit are regulated to the set standard temperature.
Heat pump/heating circuit settings Setting temperatures The "Normal temperature" is the required room temperature in "Normal" operating mode. The "Reduced temperature" is the required room temperature in "Reduced" operating mode. Open the programming unit flap and press the following keys: for "Programme".
Heat pump/heating circuit settings Changing switching times The central heating can be changed between operating modes according to the switching time settings. You can select identical switching times for all weekdays or individual ones for every weekday. When setting the switching times, take the response time of your heating system into consideration.
