What is the SiteProtector SP3001 appliance?

The SiteProtector SP3001 appliance is a hardware implementation of SiteProtector that includes
preinstalled instances of the required SiteProtector components on a single, rack-mountable appliance.
Included components
SiteProtector SP3001 appliance components and agents include the following:
v Components that provide the basic functionality necessary to accept, monitor, and analyze network
events, such as the Agent Manager or Event Collector. See "SiteProtector components" on page 3 for a
description of each component.
v Components that provide additional security and management functions, such as the SiteProtector
Reporting component or the SecurityFusion module.
v IBM Security Server Protection for Windows (formerly Proventia Server for Windows), which provides
host security protection for the SiteProtector SP3001 appliance.
