Cleaning the tubular heat exchanger
4. Danger
Risk of injury to eyes due to falling ash. To
clean the tubular heat exchanger, extract the
turbulators to above head height. Ash may
fall into your eyes.
Use safety glasses.
Remove the turbulators (if installed). Clean the tur-
bulators with a brush/wire brush.
5. Clean the heat exchanger tubes with the cleaning
brush provided.
6. Sweep any ash that is lying on the heat exchanger
into the ash pan beneath it.

Cleaning door
A
1. Release the lock of the cleaning door. Swivel the
door away to one side.
2. Check the gaskets for wear and damage. Replace
these if required.
3. Pull out the ash pan. Empty the ash into a suitable
container.
4. Clean the ash box with a hand brush or an ash vac-
uum cleaner (if available).
Cleaning the sight glass
1. Undo the sight glass.
2. Remove the sight glass from the inspection port.

7. Close cleaning cover
Note
Ensure that the safety latch engages and that the
cleaning cover is securely closed.
8. Secure the cleaning cover with lock
Note
Ensure that all cleaning covers and doors are shut. If
the cleaning cover does not close properly this can
adversely affect combustion performance.
