Print Quality is Poor or Contains Errors

Problem

Check that the ink tanks are firmly seated in the Print Head and reseat them if
necessary.

Print the nozzle check pattern to check for uneven ink output.

When a specific color is missing from the nozzle check pattern, clean the Print
Head.
If ink supply is uneven: See

Check that your paper is loaded with the correct print side facing up.
Note
Follow the instructions packaged with your speciality media for
loading and handling.
On the M M ain tab, ensure that the M M edia Type selected matches the media
loaded.
In the Print dialog box, select Q Q uality & Media from the pop-up menu, and
then ensure that the M M edia Type selected matches the media loaded.
Selecting O O ther Photo Paper from M M edia Type, which may resolve the problem.
Load one sheet at a time and remove each sheet as soon as it is printed.
Be sure to set the P P rint Quality setting to H H igh for Windows or Fine for
Macintosh.
On the M M ain tab, click H H igh for the P P rint Quality setting.
1. In the Print dialog box, select Q Q uality & Media from the pop-up menu, and
then click D D etailed Setting.
2. Drag the P P rint Quality slide bar to the F F ine end.
Use High Resolution Paper or Photo Paper Pro to print images that require a lot
of ink (i.e. pictures with intense colors or photographs).
Reduce the Intensity setting in the printer driver and try printing again.
1. Open the P P rinter Properties dialog box.
2. On the M M ain tab, select M M anual for Color Adjustment, and then click S S et.
3. Drag the I I ntensity slide bar to adjust the intensity.
1. In the Print dialog box, select C C olor Option from the pop-up menu.
2. Drag the I I ntensity slide bar to set the intensity.
