Step 10: Slim Type CD-ROM
Plastic adapter
Insert two plastic adapter into the MS-5943.
- Insert the Slim type CD-ROM into the CD-ROM cage. Secure
the slim type CD-ROM into the CD-ROM cage with the screws.
Don't tighten the screw for it might damage the slim type CD-
ROM.
- Connect the MS-5943 into the CD-ROM connector. Secure it
with a screw. Don't tighten the screw. It might damage the CD-
ROM.
- Install the CD-ROM cage back into the cage.
- Connect the 40-pin IDE cable from the CD-ROM drive into MS-
5942 secondary IDE connector. Pin 1 is indicated by red wire on
the cable.
- Connect the CDIN from MS-5943 into the MS-5942 J14 to supply
the CD-ROM with power and audio.
