Guarantee
Legrand RCD socket outlets have been designed for long
and reliable service and as such are maintenance-free
(apart from periodical testing). In the unlikely event of a
fault developing within the Legrand RCD socket within
2 years of purchase, Legrand will, at its discretion, repair
or replace the socket. This guarantee is conditional on the
socket having been installed and used in accordance with
the instructions and information contained in this leaflet
and not having been tampered with or subjected to misuse
in any way. In all cases of complaint, proof of purchase
must be supplied.
Legrand will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting
from its negligence (other than for death or personal injury)
unless such loss or damage arises from the socket proving
defective (whether due to faulty design, workmanship,
materials or otherwise) while in consumer use.
This guarantee is in addition to and does not affect any
consumer statutory rights.

Important :
It is essential to read and fully understand these instructions
before commencing installation.
The Legrand RCD safety socket range represents one of
the most comprehensive protection systems available on
the market today. Depending upon different application require-
ments, a product may be chosen that either remains latched
or, conversely, trips (unlatches) following a mains failure.
This characteristic can be an important criteria when selecting
the product type.
To illustrate this point, a normally open (electrically latched)
device trips in instances of power failure and is thus best sui-
ted for use with machinery incorporating electric motors, e.g.
hedge cutters, grinders, portable drills, etc. as unexpected
power restoration could otherwise cause the appliance to
suddenly restart when perhaps the operator was not in the
immediate vicinity.
Normally closed (mechanically latched) devices on the other
hand, are ideal for installation in floor boxes in commercial
premises as resetting a number of units after a power failure
would be both time consuming and inconvenient. Additionally,
where power is regularly shut down, the normally closed sockets
do not need to be manually reset.
Although RCD safety sockets provide enhanced user protection,
it should be remembered that they are neither designed to
