Valves should only be stored in the full open or full closed position to prevent seat distortion. Installation NAVCO S30 3-piece ball valves may be installed in any position with flow from either direction. However, for best service life there is a preferred vertical or horizontal position, to maximize sealing and minimize the accumulation of sediment. -

Operation NAVCO S30 ball valves operate from fully open to fully close by a 90 degree turn of the handle. The handle aligned with the pipe always means the valve is open and with the handle perpendicular to the pipe means the valve is closed. -
Page 7: Routine Maintenance
D I S T R I B U T E D V A L V E S Routine Maintenance Due to its design and simplicity the NAVCO S30 ball valve requires very little maintenance. It’s non-lubricated, self-cleaning ball can provide reliable, leak free performance over a long period of time. The only preventative maintenance recommended is to periodically inspect the valve for leaks around the stem or actuator. -

D I S T R I B U T E D V A L V E S Reassembly Cameron recommends replacement of all soft parts whenever the valve is disassembled for reconditioning. • Lightly grease the thrust washer (05), the stem seal area, and the threads of the stem. Insert thrust washer (05) into the body shoulder. - Page 9 D I S T R I B U T E D V A L V E S • Install handle (14), handle washer (12), and handle nut (13). • Install stop screw in the correct threaded hole to insure the valve operates from open to close by pulling the handle towards you.
