l Check that the reel disk is lower than part A but higher than
part 6. If the height is not correct, readjust the reel disk
height by changing the poly-slider washer under the reel
disk.
Note:
Whenever replacing the reel disk, perform the height checking
and adjustment.

CHECKING AND ADJUSTMENT OF TAKE-
UP TORQUE IN FAST FORWARD MODE
Remove the cassette housing control assembly.
Make a short-circuit between TP7701 and TP7702,
both located at the right on your side on the main PWB.
Now plug in the AC cord.
Setting
Set a torque gauge to zero on the scale. Place it on the
take-up reel disk.
Press the FF button to set the mechanism to the fast
forward mode.
To calculate the remaining capacity of the play back mode,
slowly rotate the supply reel disk, and then shift it into the
forward mode.
Checking
Turn the torque gauge slowly (one rotation every 2 to 3
seconds) by hand in the take-up direction.
Check to see if the take-up torque is higher than 69 mN.m

Press the REW button to set the mechanism to the rewind
mode.
To calculate the remaining capacity, slowly rotate the take-
up reel disk, and then shift it into the rewind mode.

seconds) by hand in the take-up direction.
Check to see if the take-up torque is higher than 69 mN+m
