SCPI programming commands (nplc)
For remote programming, the :NPLC command is used to set measurement
speed (rate). Each valid function can have its own unique nplc rate setting:

Filter

The digital filter is used to stabilize noisy measurements. A final filtered reading is
a windowed-average of a number of reading conversions (up to 100) temporarily
stored in a buffer stack. Readings not within the specified window are not put in
the stack.
Filter window – As long as the input signal remains within the selected filter
window, readings continue to fill the stack. If a reading is outside of the window,
the filter resets and starts over. A window is expressed as a percent of range (or
percent of maximum temperature reading). For example, on the 10V range, a 10%
window means that the filter window is ±1V.
Filter count – This specifies the number of readings to average (1 to 100). For a
filter count of 1, no averaging is done.
For AC functions, measurement bandwidth is affected by the mea-
surement speed setting (see Model 27xx User's Manual for details).
<n> = 0.01 to x For 60Hz line power, x = 60.
For 50Hz or 400Hz line power, x = 50.
Measurement speed can also be set using the :APERature com-
mand (see Model 27xx User's Manual for details).
For AC volts and amps, :BANDwidth commands can be used to set
measurement bandwidth (see Model 27xx User's Manual for
details).
When finished with remote programming, press the LOCAL key to
restore front panel control.
