Working clamping To prevent the drill from spinning the workpiece if the drill bit becomes jammed in the hole being drilled, it is recommended that a drill vice or other suitable clamp is used to secure the workpiece during the drilling operation. If the bit jams in the workpiece or if the drill stalls, stop the tool immediately.
