10• PROLONGED STORAGE - WINTER STORAGE
10•1 WINTER STORAGE
1• Clean the machine thoroughly, paying particular attention to the
cutting device. Lubricate all moving parts.
2• Turn the battery switch to position 0.
3• Disconnect the battery (disconnecting the negative pole first) and
remove.
4• Charge the battery. See paragraph 9•3•2.
5• Store the battery in a cool dry place, where the temperature is
above the freezing point.
6• Recharge the battery every six months.
The battery and the acid must be stored out of the reach of children.
11• TROUBLESHOOTING - ANCHORING
11•1 MOVING THE MOWER WITH THE
ENGINE OFF
• The bypass is used to move the mower without starting up the
engine.
• The bypass lever (marked with color) is accessible by opening the
engine and central bonnets.
- Position I : use position (transmission engaged)
- Position 0 : disengaged transmission position
• Never attempt to drive the mower with the bypass in the disengaged
position (0 position).
11•2 TOWING THE MACHINE IN THE
EVENT OF A BREAKDOWN
• Disengage the transmission.
• Tow with a towing bar only. Fix the bar to the towing hook on the
front of the machine under the steering cover (c picture 9).
• Do not tow the machine from any other location.
IMPORTANT !
The disengaged position must only be used over
short distance and at a slow speed (< 5 km/h). After moving the
machine, remember to switch the lever back to the engaged position.
• If a machine is to be moved over a long distance, use appropriate
means of transport (trailer, utility vehicle).
11•3 TRANSPORT
Mowers can cause severe injuries through being crushed under their
weight. Be extremely careful during loading or unloading for transport
by vehicle or trailer.
If the mower is transported on a trailer or truck:
• Secure your mower using straps passed through the side supports
and the towing hook.
• Turn the battery switch to position 0.
• Put on the parking brake.
• Block the wheels with chocks.
11•4 CHANGING THE WHEELS
• If you need to remove a wheel, do so on a firm and flat surface.
• Do not work on or under the mower if it is lifted temporarily or in
unsafe conditions.
• If you do not have the required tools or knowledge, contact your
dealer.
• Proceed as follows to remove the wheels :
- Apply the parking brake.
- Immobilise the machine with blocks.

Contact your dealer for the following adjustments and servicing :
- Parking brake adjustment
- Blade brake and clutch adjustment
- Cutting plate parallel alignment
- Engine adjustment
- Changing the belts if required
- Changing operations or repairs, if they require the removal of
parts and have not been described in this manual
- Any specific operations.
FRONT WHEEL
H124DN - H124DL
• Stop the engine and remove the ignition key.
• Remove the cap (1 picture 37).
• Place a jack under the front axle.
• Lift until the wheel lifts off the ground.
• Remove the split pin (2) and unscrew the nut (3) (picture 37).
• The wheel can now be removed from its spindle.
H124DX
• Stop the engine and remove the ignition key.
• Unscrew the 4 screws (a picture 38).
• Place the jack under the front axle.
• Lift until the wheel lifts off the ground.
• Unscrew fixation nuts.
Reverse the procedure for assembly.
REAR WHEELS
• Place the collecting bin in the raised emptying position.
• Lock it with the locking system (picture 26).
• Stop the engine and remove the ignition key.
• Loosen the 5 fastening screws.
• Place a jack underneath the rear crossbar of the chassis (picture 39).
• Lift until the wheel lifts off the ground.
• Unscrew the fastening nuts.
Reverse the procedure for assembly :
• Check that the fastening screws or nuts are tightened correctly.
• Check the tyre pressure :
- Front tyre pressure :
- Back tyre pressure :
