Using a Smartphone as a Camera Remote Controller
(Shoot with phone)
This function lets you remotely shoot a snapshot or movie with the camera using a
smartphone. You also can perform remote zoom, self-timer, and other operations as
well.
NOTE
• When using a smartphone to shoot with the camera, you can add location
information obtained by the smartphone to the image data. For information about
how to do this, refer to the EXILIM Connect User's Guide (page 159).
. Bluetooth Wireless Technology Connection
1.
Perform one of the operations below.
– Turn off the camera.
– Display the wireless mode screen.
2.
On the smartphone, start up the "EXILIM Connect" app.
3.
On the smartphone, tap "Remote Capture".
4.
Compose the image on the smartphone's screen as you shoot.
For information about how to use "Shoot with phone", refer to the EXILIM Connect
manual (page 159).
. Cannot connect Bluetooth Wireless Technology
1.
Press [
] (Wireless).
2.
Use [8], [2], [4], and [6] to select "Shoot with phone", and then
press [SET].
3.
Use [8] and [2] to select "Remote Start", and then press [SET].
• If there is a wireless LAN connection between the smartphone and camera,
advance to step 5 of this procedure.
4.
For the smartphone's Wi-Fi settings, select the SSID displayed on the
camera and establish a wireless LAN connection between the camera
and smartphone.
5.
On the smartphone, start up the "EXILIM Connect" app.
6.
Compose the image on the smartphone's screen as you shoot.

manual (page 159).
