. Smartphone that does not support Bluetooth low energy
technology
Configure smartphone wireless LAN connection settings (input the camera SSID and
password).
1.
Press [
] (Wireless).
2.
Use [8], [2], [4], or [6] to select "Shoot
with phone", and then press [SET].
3.
Use [8] and [2] to select "Remote Start",
and then press [SET].
This will enable connection with a smartphone and
the camera will display a screen for input of an
SSID and password.

For the smartphone's Wi-Fi settings, enter the camera's SSID and
password to establish a wireless LAN connection between the camera
and smartphone.
When the smartphone establishes a wireless LAN connection with the camera,
the message "Start up the phone app." appears on the camera's monitor screen.
• What you need to do to establish a wireless LAN connection depends on the
type of smartphone you are using. For details about how to establish a wireless
LAN connection see the user documentation that comes with your smartphone.
• The camera SSID (which cannot be changed) is shown below.
SSID: ZR5100-XXXXXX (6-character alphanumeric ID)
• Under initial settings, you can check the camera's password by going to the
wireless mode screen and then selecting the following: "Wireless settings" *
"WLAN password" (page 177).

On the smartphone, start up "EXILIM Connect".
. What to do if you are unable to establish a wireless LAN connection
between the camera and a smartphone.
This problem may be caused when the smartphone is already wirelessly connected to
one of the networks or devices below. Go to your smartphone's Wi-Fi settings and
select this camera's SSID.
