7.12 Coding

The coding function enables the light curtain to operate normally even if an interference
condition occurs with another light curtain. This is particularly true if the transmitter TX of the
first light curtain emits beams in the direction of the receiver RX of the second light curtain.
To counter this, both light curtains must be configured with different codes (see under
Chapter 2.2.2).
• No code
In this case, no code is selected and the light curtain must be installed at a certain
distance to other light curtains with no code, to avoid potentially dangerous interference.
Users who install the light curtains closer than the designated minimum distance must
install the TX from the first light curtains on the same side as the RX from the second.
