To access the battery on a Coleman Powersports UTV250 for charging:

1. Remove the battery from the vehicle if storing for a long period.
2. Disconnect the negative terminal first, then the positive terminal.
3. Use eye protection and rubber gloves when working around the battery.
4. Charge the battery using a standard charger; a boost charge is only for emergencies.
5. Keep sparks and flames away during charging due to explosive gases.
6. Recharge the battery once every three months during storage.
