REPLACING FADERS The XFADER and main channel faders on a DJ mixer are heavily used and can suffer considerable wear and tear. The audio design using VCAs prevents clicks and scratchiness as the fader wears. Over time, however, the me- chanical movement may become stiff, or sloppy, or ingrained with dirt.
