Setting Melt/Soften
The oven uses low power to melt and soften items. See the following table.
• Suppose you want to melt 2 sticks of butter.

BUTTER 1 or 2 sticks
CHOCOLATE 2, 4 or 8 oz.
SOFTEN Pint, 1.5 Quart.

AMOUNT
2-4 servings Pierce with fork in several places. Place on
a paper towel on the turntable. After cooking,
remove from oven and let stand for 5
minutes.
Display Shows:
Time counting down
Unwrap and place in microwavable container.
No need to cover butter. Stir at the end of
cooking to complete melting.
Chocolate chips or squares of baking choco-
late may be used. Unwrap squares and place
in microwavable container. Stir at the end of
cooking to complete melting.
Place container in oven. lcecream will be soft
enough to make scooping easier.
