Congratulations on purchasing your new BEKO linear amplifier. You have purchased a
quality product, individually built to the highest standards and one that will last you a lifetime.
Please take a few minutes to read these instructions manual and then store it in a safe place for
future reference. Finally it's up to you that all components used in your system as cables,
connectors, preamps and coaxial relays can handle this power level.
The HLV-800 is a solid state LDMOSFET SHF-amplifier covering the 1275 – 1300 MHz
frequency range with a selectable gain of 17-24 db. It can only be used for split line operation
using an external output relay. The internal modulated power limit is kept to 950 watts. It's
design is based on NXP's rf transistor BLF6G13L-250P. Each of the four amplifier blocks is
protected by a separate circulator before final 4:1 combining. This insures high ruggedness
and independence on any load mismatch as well as high linearity and spectral purity. It is
essential that the driving source has a narrow phase noise and high spectral purity. The output
signal of an amplifier can't be better than it's input signal.
