CONTROL CENTER ST-1440

1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION

ST-1440 is a microprocessor-based control center for SAFEGREASE, SAFEOIL and
MULTILUBE lubrication systems. The control center can be used for controlling 1 to 14
separate lubrication channels or systems. ST-1440 controls lubrication according to its settings
and it also saves the lubrication event history onto a CPU-card. It will send an alarm to the
system for possible malfunction immediately.

2 DESIGN

Note
ST-1440 control center main switch is located (pos. 1) on the side of the center enclosure. The
enclosure cover has a green LED-signal for power (pos. 2) and a red LED-signal for alarm
(pos. 3). Center control panel (pos. 4) is located on the cover inside the enclosure. Each
channel module (pos. 5) contains the I/O-connections required for controlling one lubrication
channel.

2.1 Control panel

Control panel is used to program the lubrication, to reset alarms and to monitor lubrication
phases.
It has a 4-line x 20-character LCD (4 lines x 20 characters) with four (4) function keys below the
display, 12-key keypad for entering alphanumeric data and a CPU-unit.

2.2.1 General

Channel module contains the control connections for one lubrication channel. Module is
connected to the CPU-unit, which controls the channel outputs and saves the channel input, via
a serial bus interface. A designated channel number has been preprogrammed for each
module, and the number is also printed on the module cover.
The programming switch PR/RN for a channel module is in normal operation at position RN.
