Firmware off-line tests

To enter the firmware off-line test and setup procedures follow these steps:

1. Power on the printer while pressing the paper feed button ( A in Figure 24) .

2. Follow the instructions that are printed for each required test.
Summary of off-line test menus
IBM recommends that you use the firmware off-line test menus to perform the
off-line tests. However, note that some legacy off-line test methods still apply (see
"Legacy methods for off-line tests" on page 33). Table 9 on page 33 describes the
available firmware off-line test menus:

The following off-line selection menu is printed. See Figure 25.

To select a sub-menu or test:
1. Enter the code by pressing the paper feed button.
2. Press again and hold the button down at least 1
second to confirm selection.
