Die Alltagshilfe ermöglicht dem Nutzer das selbstständige Essen fester Nahrung von einem flachen Essteller. Die Tellerranderhöhung bildet einen hohen, nach innen geneigten Rand, damit die Nahrung einfacher vom Teller auf das Besteck geschoben werden kann. Eine andere oder darüber hinausgehende Verwendung gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß.
