Password Check
This option specifies the type of AMI
that is implemented. The Optimal and Fail-Safe default settings are Setup.

Boot To OS/2
Set this option to Enabled to permit the BIOS to run properly, if OS/
®
2
is to be used with > 64MB of DRAM. The settings are Enabled or
Disabled. The Optimal and Fail-safe default settings are Disabled.
CPU Serial Number
This option is for Pentium III processor. During Enabled, this will
check the CPU Serial number. Disabled this option if you don't want the
system to know the Serial number.
L1 Cache
The default value is Write Back.
Write Back(default) Write Back cache.
Disabled
L2 Cache
Choose Write Back or Write through or Disabled. This item default
setting is Write Back the level 2 cache memory.
Cache Bus ECC
This option is for Pentium
affect the system performance. Disabled this option if you don't want to
affect the system performance.
System BIOS Cacheable
®
AMI
BIOS always copies the system BIOS from ROM to RAM for
faster execution. Set this option to Enabled to permit the contents of the
F0000h RAM memory segment to be written to and read from cache memory.
The settings are Enabled or Disabled. The Optimal default setting is Ena-
bled. The Fail-Safe default setting is Disabled.
