HVS-492ROU units. A standard HVS-492OU/HVS-492WOU/HVS-492ROU comes with a single power supply unit installed into one of its two power slots. The optional HVS-49PSO power supply unit allows you to operate the unit continuously, even if one power supply unit fails. -

Make sure the unit is inserted completely and properly, then secure the unit with the screws as shown below HVS-49PSO Fastening Screw 2-3. Verifying the Power LED Connect all AC cords, then turn both power supply switches on. -

3. Replacing Power Supply Units 3-1. Removing a Power Supply Unit This procedure is needed only when replacing an existing defective power supply unit. Unfasten the two screws securing the defective power unit as shown below. Gently pull the power unit straight out, grasping the unfastened screws, until it is completely removed from the main unit. -

3-3. Verifying the Power LED Connect all AC cords, then turn both power supply switches on. Verify that both POWER1 and POWER2 LEDs are lit green.
