Connecting components with digital audio input/output jacks

The following illustration shows how to connect a Super Audio CD player, CD player, an MD deck
and DIGITAL MEDIA PORT adapter.

Notes
• When connecting optical digital cords, insert the
plugs straight in until they click into place.
• Do not bend or tie optical digital cords.
• Before connecting cords, make sure to disconnect
the AC power cord (mains lead).
• To disconnect the DIGITAL MEDIA PORT
adapter, observe the following precautions.
– Remove the DIGITAL MEDIA PORT adapter
after removing the cord when cords are
connected to the COMPONENT VIDEO jack.

– Remove the DIGITAL MEDIA PORT adapter
by squeezing the sides of the connector, since
the connector is locked in place.
Tip
All the digital audio jacks are compatible with
32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 88.2 kHz and 96 kHz
sampling frequencies.
