Inspection and Repair (Fig. 12)
1. Scrape gasket material (10) off of brake housing and
planetary wheel drive mounting surfaces.
2. Remove retaining ring (9).
3. Remove stationary discs (7) and rotating discs (8).
4. Remove springs (12).
5. Remove actuator assembly (11, 6, 5, 4, 3).
6. Remove balls (13).

9. Retaining Ring

7. Remove balls (13).
8. Wash parts in cleaning solvent.
9. Inspect parts for wear or damage.
10.Reverse steps 2 - 6 to assemble brakes, installing
new parts as necessary. Install a new seal (2).
11. Use a new gasket (10) when installing brake assem-
bly.
