Work in an ESD protected environment. Make use of an anti-static
strap.

Side view | Make sure the cut is vertical as illustraded in the image
above.

Top view | Only cut on the dotted lines to prevent damaging the LED
strip.

Turn off the power before cutting the LED strip.
