Installing The Base Cover - Dell Inspiron 7501 Service Manual

Steps
1. Remove the seven screws (M2x4) that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
2. Loosen the two captive screws that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
3. Pry the base cover starting from the recess at the hinge area and work your way around.
4. Lift the base cover off away from the laptop.
NOTE: The following steps are applicable only if you want to further remove any other component from your
computer.
5. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
6. Turn your computer over and press the power button for 15 seconds to drain the flea power.
