    Due to the increased density of semiconductors used in recent Dell products, the sensitivity to static damage is now higher than in previous Dell products. For this reason, some previously approved methods of handling parts are no longer applicable.

    It is recommended that all field service technicians use the traditional wired ESD grounding wrist strap and protective anti-static mat at all times when servicing Dell products.     Display panel power rail built-in self-test (L-BIST) About this task Next steps L-BIST (LCD Power Rail Test) is an enhancement to the single LED error code diagnostics and is automatically initiated during POST. L-BIST isolates if the LCD is receiving power from the system board. L-BIST checks if the system board is supplying power to the LCD by performing an LCD Power Rail test.
